Our Intermediate Level Improv Lab focuses on developing and then refining a variety of core improv skills in a direct and organic manner. We'll use key skills from the worlds of acting, comedy, psychology, and meditation to help deepen our students' awareness WHILE they are improvising.
WHEN: Tuesday nights, 7:30-9:30pm beginning March 18th. COST: Purchase a 1, 4, 6, or 8-pack of classes to suit your budget
Our curriculum will focus on:
Discovering/Leaning into relationships during scene work
Allowing or discovering instead of forcing comedy
Learning the difference between Primary & Secondary characters
Stagecraft and the basics of space/mime work
When and why to use various types of edits
Developing compelling characters
Our classes are capped at 10 participants to allow for more personalized feedback and time to work.
PREREQUISITES: Participants in this class series need to have already completed our Foundations Level Class series or an introductory class series at another theater.
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: David Koff is the Founder of Change Through Play and has been a professional actor and improviser for 30 years. He's used improvisation to help train actors, business leaders, educators, and recovering addicts.
RAMP: We've got ADA ramps for access into all buildings.
